The Honorable Woody Brown
Mayor, City of Largo
Woody Brown is the Mayor of Largo Florida, which is in Pinellas County on the central west coast and has a population of over 84 thousand. Mayor Brown was elected to be Largo’s 34th Mayor in 2014, after serving seven years as a city commissioner.
He is a past chair and current vice-chair of the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council. He is the current chair of the Tampa Bay Regional Resiliency Coalition Steering Committee and wrapping up his term as the President of the Pinellas County Mayors Council.
Mayor Brown has been a long-standing member of the Agency on Bay Management, which is the primary community organization focusing on the protection and management of the Tampa Bay estuary. He serves on the FLC Land Use & Economic Development Committee and was the Chair of the Transportation and Intergovernmental Relations Policy Committee.
Mayor Brown has been named a FLC Home Rule Hero every year since 2018 and has served on the Florida League of Mayors Nominating Committee in 2021 and 2022.
