Mayor Campbell was born in DeFuniak Springs.

He has been a business owner/manager since 1989 with offices in DeFuniak Springs and Montgomery, AL. He has a strong commitment to building on the legacy of many of the mayors who have come before him. Their legacies are great examples of integrity, professionalism and respect which is the tradition upon which he pursued both the mayor’s office and those responsible to govern DeFuniak Springs.

One of his priorities is to seek ways to attract clean industry/commercial business to provide quality jobs so DeFuniak Springs’ children don’t have to leave the area to secure sustainable employment. These jobs mean more families; more families mean more restaurants and recreational establishments. It requires working cooperatively with county officials, school board, cities, tourism development, economic development alliance, pastors, business leaders, volunteers, and the community at large. He is committed to promoting cooperation and unity for the whole sector, and wants to make the DeFuniak Springs community one of the best in the country.
