The Florida League of Mayors (FLM) events will take place on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, in Orlando, Florida, at the Hilton Orlando in conjunction with the Florida League of Cities’ Legislative Conference.

FLM Schedule: Wednesday, November 29, 2023

2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. FLM Workshop
Deep Dive From Professionals: Panel Experts Discuss Mentoring, Mental Wellness and Veterans Affairs. This workshop brings together a panel of experts focusing on FLM President Scott Brook’s three main focus areas of his presidency. The workshop will feature in-depth discussions on Mentoring, Mental Wellness and Veterans Affairs. Hershel Lyons, On-Site Administrator at Education Management Consulting Services and former Chancellor K-12 Public Schools at the Florida Department of Education, will lead the discussion on Mentoring, specifically how cities can set up successful mentorship programs in their cities and how to be a mentor to other mayors. Bob Asztalos, Deputy Executive Director of the Department of Veterans Affairs, will focus on veterans’ issues and how Mayors can provide more support to this group locally. 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. FLM Reception
All Mayors are invited to attend; you may bring one guest with you.
Your Vice/Deputy Mayor is also invited; please encourage them to participate.

​6:30 p.m. FLM Board of Directors Dinner
For FLM Board members only; Board members may bring one guest.
To be good stewards of the FLM finances, please do not RSVP for this dinner unless you are 100% sure that you will attend.
