On March 4, 2010 the Florida League of Mayors held its first Legislative Fly-In for the 2010 legislative session. The fly-in kicked off with a morning legislative issue briefing from the League of Cities lobbying team on the major issues impacting cities this session.

These issues included: TABOR, comprehensive public pension reform, traffic enforcement and red light cameras, issue campaign financing and restrictions on local government expenditures, offshore drilling, unfunded mandates, and increased recycling. The mayors had the opportunity to voice their primary concerns about these issues to the lobbyists and ask questions regarding the current status of the bills addressing the issues.
